3 to 12 months of age
The infant room runs on each baby's own rhythm, not a group schedule. Care focuses on individual needs, and teachers plan days that stimulate the senses. The goal is a baby who is content and aware. The prepared environment is based on observations of each child's needs and ability, the same approach that runs through every room here.
16–36 months
Toddlers from 16 to 36 months explore their world through play. Days hold music, art, dance, story time, and friends. Structured and unstructured activities build gross and fine motor dexterity. Social skills are refined in the same unhurried way. The prepared environment is based on observations of each child's needs and ability.
3 years to 4 years
PHLpreK serves children three and four years old. Classrooms offer age-appropriate, Montessori-inspired work, and the room is prepared from observations of each child's needs and ability. This is a year included in our program for School Year 2026-2027. Families in Philadelphia can ask us about eligibility and what to bring.
3 years to 6 years
Preschoolers from three to six learn through work that looks like play. Exercises teach phonemic awareness, letter and sound recognition, basic math, and hands-on science. Reading, early writing, and math mirror the PA Early Learning Standards. Science, world cultures, art, music, and physical education round out the curriculum.
6 years to 10 years
School age children from six to ten have a quiet place for homework and projects. They get supervised access to computers. Tutoring assistance is available as needed. Crafts, games, snacks, physical activities, and relaxation fill the rest of the time.
